Meet Your Wedding Marketing Team
Renee Roberts began her career in the wedding industry as the owner of a floral, décor, planning, and tuxedo rental business that grew from a home based business to a large retail storefront. She went on to produce the Best Wedding Showcase, the largest and longest running wedding planning events in the Central Pennsylvania region.
Marc McIntosh has worked his entire career in the wedding industry, first as the owner of a wedding-focused DJ service, then as producer of the largest wedding expos in the Mid-Atlantic region. As a nationally recognized speaker, writer, and marketing expert, he has shared his knowledge with wedding professionals worldwide.
How Did We Get Here?
Renee and Marc are the founders of Team Wedding Marketing. We were both wedding pros (Marc owned a DJ service and Renee was a wedding planner, florist, and decorator) but we ultimately became successful wedding show producers. Ten years ago, we met at an industry conference and eventually began collaborating on projects. We experienced the synergy and benefits of two industry peers learning from each other, and this expedited the growth of our individual brands.
Our many years in the wedding show industry gave us valuable marketing skills. Each year, we successfully ‘sold’ thousands of engaged couples, motivating them to invest their valuable time and money to attend our events. As the world of marketing shifted from traditional advertising to digital, we evolved with it.

Along the way, we helped hundreds of wedding pros improve their marketing efforts by sharing our knowledge and real-world experience. Chances are, you’ve heard us at a seminar or conference, on a podcast or webinar (check out our YouTube channel). Perhaps you have listened to one of our sessions on Clubhouse or Wisdom.
Through our interaction with thousands of wedding pros, we saw a recurring theme: Most are far better at doing weddings than they are at selling them. More often than not, they are overwhelmed by the ‘juggling act’ of servicing this month’s weddings while also having to generate future wedding business.
As wedding show producers, we felt the same way. It was a lot more fun to choose wedding dresses for our fashion shows than it was to pore over website analytics, but we understood that in order to thrive (or even survive), we had to do both.
What we’re doing now.
For the past few years, we have been laying the groundwork for a marketing agency that specifically serves the needs of wedding pros. When the pandemic hit, we decided that the time was right to ‘pass the torch’ of our shows and make our plans a reality. We like to joke that we were ‘pivoting’ before it was fashionable!
Our mission is to give wedding pros direct access to our laser-focused marketing skill set. We have a unique understanding of the wedding business, the seasonality, the emotion, and the time constraints of wedding pros.
